ROMP Study - Time to share

Hi everyone!  Remember when Gary and I started working on a whiteboard video project with the research teams at the Stanford University Center for Biomedical Ethics and The Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics at Seattle Children’s?

WELL, WE'RE FINALLY READY TO SHARE WITH YOU THE COMICS AND THE VIDEOS WE'VE  CREATED TOGETHER!!

You can read the initial blog post about the inception of the project here.

And you can read our previous blog posts about making of the whiteboard videos here, here, here and here!  You can read about the making of the comics here!

A few weeks ago, Gary and I returned to Seattle to review some of the initial data from the use of our whiteboard videos as well as collaborating with the teams to create a new comics-based website to explain the project and showcase the videos!

This actually involved live-comic drawing during the meeting!

Like, we literally got to work in the hotel room, y'all.

So! With out further ado,  here's the BRAND NEW website!-  https://rompethics.iths.org/

You can learn all about the project by reading through the comics on key concepts, ethical issues, as well as finding all the relevant scientific references and study details.

But most importantly, you can view the VIDEOS! (watch the full video here or the video in 3 parts below)

This morning the project and the videos are being presented by the research team at the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities Annual Conference!  It was at last year's 2013 ASBH Conference where Gary and I met Dr. Benjamin Wilfond and first learned about this project.  Whew...what a year it's been!!  Gary and I are truly honored to have collaborated with the talented, insightful and open minded (i.e. comics-embracing) folks at Stanford and Seattle Children's.

A very special thanks to the Project Team- especially Benjamin Wilfond MD, David Magnus PhD, Sandra Lee PhD, Ellen Kunawana MS, Maureen Kelley PhD, Cyan James PhC, Mildred Cho PhD and Adrienne Meyer for making this all possible.

Here's to some more amazing collaborations in the future!!
